We are very pleased to launch this new website, designed with a strong focus on improved user accessibility.
Thanks to the Access for All Fund, the new website significantly improves digital access. The Access for All Fund aims to improve physical and digital infrastructure, making Protected Landscapes more welcoming and accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Built by local web developers and designers, the new East Devon National Landscape website follows best practice guidance for accessibility. This includes accessible navigation, strong colour contrast for readability and the use of clear and simple language. This design prioritises improving the user experience and access for all.
Steph Aburrow, Project Officer for the East Devon National Landscape, said:
“I love our new website and I hope others do too! It’s much more user friendly and provides loads more useful information in a way can be navigated quickly. This is just one of many things we’re doing to help people to access, enjoy and ultimataly value our National Landscape. There is still more we can be doing and will build on over time but think this is a great start”.
