In 2024 – 2025 the Access for All Fund provided a grant to Seachange to purchase a range of mobility equipment that can be prohibitively expensive for people to own. Funding enabled equipment to be purchased which is available for hire so that people can enjoy the newly improved access around the Otter Estuary.

An array of equipment was purchased based on identified need including Nordic walking poles, and battery powered wheelchairs. The equipment was also promoted to those who it may benefit.

What lessons were learnt during delivery ?
When working in partnership, sometimes things don’t go to plan. This project had to be adjusted due to staff changes. Keeping flexible was essential.
