Perched on a high ridge overlooking the village of Musbury, Musbury Castle is a striking Iron Age hillfort offering panoramic views across the East Devon National Landscape. This ancient earthwork consists of a single rampart and ditch that follows the natural contours of the hill, creating a distinctive pear-shaped enclosure.
Today, the site is a peaceful haven for walkers and wildlife. Reached via a steep climb through the Musbury Hill woodland, visitors are rewarded with a 360-degree vantage point stretching across the Axe Valley to the sea at Seaton and inland toward the Blackdown Hills.
Musbury Castle is owned and managed by the National Trust.
