Under the careful stewardship of Clinton Devon Estates, this thriving heathland serves as a sanctuary for nature. Keep a lookout for lizards and snakes basking in the midday sun, or visit at dusk to hear the rhythmic call of Nightjars as they begin their evening hunt.
Step back in time at Mutters Moor, home to an ancient Bronze Age stone circle believed to be a site of prehistoric worship. While the moor holds the history, the physical stones can now be admired within the tranquil Fern Garden at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens.
Managed by the National Trust, this stunning coastal woodland offers some of the most iconic vistas in East Devon. The towering cliffs are a crown jewel of the Jurassic Coast, showcasing 185 million years of Earth’s history through layers of Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous rock.
