Nestled in a steep-sided valley just outside Honiton, Offwell Woods is a 50-acre mosaic of ancient woodland, wetlands, and ponds. It’s management now sits with the East Devon District Council countryside team as part of their network of local nature reserves.

No official car park, though Offwell Village Hall car park is a convenient start point, use postcode EX14 9SA. Visitors are encouraged to park considerately.
Go down the hill next to the Church for approx 5 minutes / 500 metres. You will reach a kissing gate on the right that opens up into a large field. Go in there and cross the field. You will find the entrance to the woods through a kissing gate.

To get into the woods from the village parking, you have to navigate a steep lane and a field. While the path is marked, the return journey is a strenuous uphill climb that is not suitable for manual wheelchairs or those who tire easily.
